And there was so many clues that she was not being treated right. They kept calling her a “rebellious runaway”. It’s just misunderstandings on top of misunderstandings.Īlso. Isn’t he supposed to be the most powerful, almighty duke or something? Surely he would at least be informed of just what was happening inside that aunts house. And how does he not know what she went through. You’d expect he would at least go visit her. It makes me more upset that the father did not check up on her at all in those 18 years. I thought she would confront them about what she thought as them ‘abandoning’ her.
Her ‘friend’ of ten years turned out to be fake and killed her. It doesn’t make sense to me that she’s not feeling that angry or resentful towards the workers and her brother and father. I think the author is trying to make the readers like the brother, father, and. I know they really love her and it’s real. It makes it seem like all the love she’s getting is just fake. And I won’t like them until they know what the FL went through. Call me petty but I cannot like either the father and/or the brother. You do not know how much anger I felt while reading this. I did enjoy reading it though, and I have a feeling it'll get better, but until then. Apart from that however, I've just been waiting for divine punishment for the evil dudes. Perhaps the only saving grace so far is squirrel girls brother who is very siscon and nice to her, and the translator, who's doing a wonderful job. Instead, it was just fluff, but unsatisfactory fluff, because squirrel girl did not get justice! So I was eagerly waiting for some form of retribution, but there's literally nothing in the first 30 chapters like she only gets to meet her dad now. The overall tone of the beginning was very sad, and I felt super bad for squirrel girl and what she went through. Are you not suspicious at all? Come on lion dude, despite being a war hero or whatever you lack observational skills. She flinches when you raise your hand at her, and you still. your daughter ran away from the capital, malnourished and scared af. And I find his intelligence a bit questionable. But that's also very annoying because everything he says gets taken in the wrong way by squirrel girl. The dad is an absolute tsundere, like he literally can't express how much he loves her. Like come on, have some respect for the squirrel genius. Also, she's obviously very intelligent but they still talk down to her. When she arrives in the duchy she's obviously malnourished, confused, insecure and uncomfortable with adults, which are glaring signs that she's being mistreated?! So why is nobody saying or doing anything about it?! Instead they're letting this cute little girl struggle and come up with 'proposals' to prove her worth. But the thing is, she's treated horribly in the capital by her aunt, to the extent that.
What can I say, the misunderstandings are too aggravating! The squirrel girl thinks her father doesn't like her because he won't let her stay in her dad's duchy, but her dad has a good reason of wanting to send her to the capital. Like I love the premise but some parts just rub me the wrong way.
#BABY SQUIRREL HOW TO#
I- uhm, I don't know how to feel about this so far.
